Tired of scrolling through streaming services and still not finding any British TV shows you feel like watching? Do you feel like there are more great shows out there that you're just not hearing about?

We get it. That’s why we created this handy printed guide just for American fans of British TV.

Every edition of the British TV Streaming Guide is packed with British TV listings from 23 different streaming services, including Acorn TV, BritBox, PBS Masterpiece, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, and more. We comb through each service to find the British TV shows available right now – then organize them with descriptions, air dates, a little bits of trivia/cast info sprinkled throughout. Where possible, we also include advance premiere details for British TV shows coming in the near future.

Whether you’re trying to decide which service to try next or just want to know where to watch your favorites, this guide puts the information in your hands – no more endless clicking.

There are roughly 2400 different British TV shows available through the services covered in this guide, and we've also included:

  • Note pages for additions or upcoming premieres you want to remember
  • An alphabetical index so you can quickly look up the streaming service for a show
  • A "Renewals & Cancellations" page that offers status updates on whether dozens of recent shows will be returning or not
  • Bonus articles to help you navigate the technical challenges of streaming your favourite shows
  • "Movie Night" section with British film recommendations featuring older female actors in leading roles
  • Shows added to the guide since the last publication are now underlined
  • Based on reader feedback, we've combined all the "free with ads" services into a single section for easier browsing.
  • In this summer edition, the featured list takes a look at the best modern British spy thrillers.

Frequently Asked Questions

A printed guide for streaming television shows? Won't it be out of date instantly?

Yes - but not too much. Unless you're doing this weekly, you simply can't make a guide that will be 100% accurate for long. Services are constantly changing their offerings, and occasionally, shows are pulled with very little notice.

Most of the major streaming services provide us with some advance notice of premieres, so we've included future programming to the greatest extent possible. We've also checked for upcoming removals and noted dates wherever possible.

Luckily, most services change no more than 2-5% of their content from one month to the next. The overwhelming majority of the guide will remain accurate for months to come - and we've included space for you to write in new additions.

I bought a previous edition. Do I need this one?

This is the first one we've released in more than a year, so there's quite a bit of new information. We can't decide for you whether you NEED a new one or not, but if you have the budget for a guide and plenty of time to watch British TV, we certainly recommend it.

How long are the show descriptions?

Most descriptions are slightly longer than the average TV guide entry. With more than 2400 total entries, we try to offer a good idea of what the show's about while keeping the page count and font size reasonable. In addition to a basic plot summary, many also include details on notable stars or show-related trivia.

Do the guides still come with a sticker?

Yes! Every guide comes with a random, British-themed vinyl sticker tucked in the cover. If you don't see yours, be sure to check the envelope. Sometimes, they fall out in shipment.

Do you ship to the US?

Yes! The British TV Streaming Guide is tailored to US viewers, printed in the US, and it ships from the US.

Do you ship outside the US?

Not at this time.

Would this guide be useful to someone outside the US?

You might find it useful for show discovery, but it probably won't be very useful in terms of figuring out where to watch them. Even if the listed services are available in your country, the exact show offerings typically vary from one country to the next. If you ARE outside of the US and you want it, you'll need to order from Amazon (despite the fact that we're not far from the Canadian border, shipping rates from the US to Canada are absurdly high).

What if there's a problem with my order?

This is a small business with real, English-speaking human help - no AI chat bots or outsourced customer service. Just email us at areyoufree@iheartbritishtv.com and we'll get you sorted.
